 Big picture

The USDA and SCDE has approved the continuance of no-cost meals for all children up to the age of 18 for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year! Please see below for refresher information in this regard:

  1. All children up to the age of 18 (they do not have to attend Richland 2 schools) have the ability to grab breakfast and lunch meals at no cost to them for the duration of the 20-21 school year.
  2. These meals are at no cost (essentially free to the student) for both in-person and e-learning students.
  3. There is no obligation for those students who select to eat breakfast/lunch.
  4. We will continue the hybrid service strategy used prior to winter break (with a refreshed menu!):
  • All e-learners (as well as children up to the age of 18 who are not Richland 2 students) (7-day meal packs): These meal packs will be offered on Fridays between 8:00 am until 12:00 pm at the following locations: Dent Middle, E.L. Wright Middle, Longleaf Middle, Muller Road Middle, Summit Parkway Middle, and R2I2.
  • In-person elementary student weekend meal packs (2-day meal packs): students will be offered these meal packs at their home school on Fridays per school guidance (as logistics differ).
  • In-person secondary student hybrid meal packs (5-day meal packs): These meal packs will be offered on Fridays between 8:00 am until 12:00 pm at the following locations: Dent Middle, E.L.
