This week is the start of Hour of Code week. 2019-2020 Magnet and Expanded Choice Information Nights
The Choice Fair and school information meetings are highly recommended for students changing schools, school levels, applying to magnet programs or students new to Richland Two. Information regarding individual school and magnet programs will be provided during informational meetings. Please refer to the schedule listed on the district website.
All information meetings begin at 6:30 pm.
* Please note. Some schools may be closed to choice this year. Please check the Richland Two website for the most updated information.
All parents must provide transportation to magnet programs located in a school other than their zoned school. Elementary selection is by random lottery (except CFA seats are filled by meeting eligibility requirements). Middle and High School magnets- students are selected based on the outcome of the selection process. Students are ranked based on points earned from teacher recommendations, writing samples, grades, test scores, and interviews. FAME, IB, STEAM, CavPlex, and iRED are lottery-based programs. Palmetto Center for the Arts is by audition. All students residing in Richland School District Two are eligible to apply.
