In-Person Instruction Resumes January 19
in-person instruction resumes January 19
We will resume in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Our daily schedule will closely resemble a typical school day for both eLearning and in-person students. The instructional day will be 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. We will continue to have a staggered start and end time to ensure we are practicing social distancing while keeping all students and staff personnel as safe as possible. In order to create the safest conditions imaginable while remaining operationally efficient, we are asking for everyone's patience and understanding during arrival and dismissal times.
Arrival: Bus riders will drop off at 7:30 AM and car riders at 7:50 AM.
Dismissal: Bus riders will be picked up at 2:40 PM and car riders at 2:50 PM.
In-person students will remain in CLASSROOM COMMUNITIES.
a few reminders for our in-person students
- Students are expected to report to school five days a week and will be organized in classroom communities with each Friday being a half-day (dismissal at 11:30 am).
- Each classroom community stays together primarily in one location during the school day, including meals and most related arts classes.
- Students will get recess, weather permitting.
- Face coverings are required for all students.
- We will practice social distancing to the greatest extent possible. In classroom seating arrangements where 6 feet of social distancing is not possible or optimal, we will use barriers/dividers.
- Students attending in-person will have opportunities for a mask break (while students participating in eLearning will have opportunities to take a break away from the computer screen).
- Students will need to bring water bottles and earbuds/earphones.
