1st Grade Presents: Fairy Tale Wax Museum

Langford's First Graders recently completed their literature unit on Fairy Tales. Throughout the unit, students were exposed to a variety of fairy tales  and "fractured" fairy tales. They explored the elements that make up a fairy tale, identified character traits, created presentations about their favorite story and took "a walk" in their characters shoes with the Wax Museum. The teachers and students in first grade put on a spectacular performance! Look out Broadway!

Principal For The Day

One of the items auctioned off at Labfest this year, was an opportunity to be Principal For The Day. Congratulations to 1st grader Erin C. She did an AWESOME job fulling the role of Principal.

Principal’s Thoughts:

My favorite part of being a principal is spending my time with Mrs. Jackson and talking on the walkie-talkie.  It is so fun.  My other favorite part about being a principal is making sure everybody is doing what they are supposed to be doing.  My last favorite part about being principal is when I went to the roof!  It was sooo fun!

Starting in the 2015–2016 school year, the program will offer needs-based, tuition-free 4-year-old child development classes. Students qualify for the program based on risk factors, free- or reduced-price-meal status, and developmental readiness. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2015. Contact Debbie Brady or Quinne Evans at 699.2536 for more information. The Montessori Magnet Program at Pontiac will continue to accept 3- and 4-year-old children.
