What's All This Talk about the Solar Eclipse?

On Monday, August 21, 2017 the students of Langford Elementary and surrounding areas, will (safely) view an eclipse of the sun. An eclipse, whether a solar or lunar, takes places during an alignment of the sun, Earth, and moon. During a total solar eclipse, the moon completely covers the sun and there are visible and physical changes to your surrounding areas. It becomes experience viewing
noticeably darker, the air temperature drops, and animals believe it is night.

To learn more about the eclipse, find safety resources, maps, and photographs, check out NASA's website.
