Skype Experience!

Mrs. Siron and her 3rd graders enjoyed a skype session this morning with Samuel Ebwongu, Samuel's wife, Ruth, two students and a teacher from Soroti, Uganda. Mrs. Siron and Mr. Ebwongu first met through The Pencil Project, where the Langford family shipped two 30 lb. boxes of school supplies and playground toys, to Samuel's school, and are preparing to send two more similar boxes. Mrs. Siron and Mr. Ebwongu have continued to grow their relationship through Skype, where today, the students were able to share the traditions and holidays we celebrate in the U.S., while learning about the traditions in Uganda. Students were  able to ask Mr. Ebwongu's students about their favorite food and recreational activities.

Thank you, Veterans!

LES welcomed Veterans and their families to our Annual Veteran's Day Celebration.  Langford Dad, Major Chaisson was our guest speaker and was introduced by his son, Jacob. We appreciate Major Chaisson speaking to us about what it means to serve in the U.S. military and for sharing his story with us. Veterans were also invited to join students for a special lunch. Thank you to all who were able to join us and to all service men and women, past and present-- Langford Salutes You!

We have a site just for you AND it's already available for you to start shopping! Click here to visit our online book fair!

If you would like to volunteer with the book fair, please contact Mrs. Ortuno, our Media Specialist.
